The UK’s country code top-level domain .uk is globally available for anyone in the world to register.
Previously, the .uk registry (Nominet) required that you provide a UK address to register a .uk domain name, but they dropped that requirement a while ago.
So, anyone outside the UK can register .uk and .co.uk domains without needing a local UK address.
You are only required to provide valid contact information for the domain. The registry automatically hides your contact information from the WHOIS database, so none of your personal details will be publicly published. You don’t even need to enable privacy because it’s applied by default.
You can use a non-UK provider to register .uk domains, like NameCheap or Cloudflare. They have more competitive prices than many UK-based registrars.
